Harmful to the kidneys

The kidneys are the main filter in the body. Excessive protein intake increases their load because the kidneys have to excrete the protein in the urine. An interesting fact is that any fried meat ( regardless of red, white, or fish ) raises blood pressure. Why this is happening is not entirely clear. The main threats to heart health are fast food meat. It is often used in the preparation of margarine and vegetable milk paste, which contains harmful industrial trans fats.

Causes cancer

No one knows exactly how red meat provokes the growth of malignant cells in the body, but several studies have indeed found an association between these processes. But the development of oncology can be seriously promoted by completely different factors - unhealthy diet, sedentary lifestyle, bad habits.

Provokes diabetes

This applies to people who eat red meat every day, especially industrially processed meat products - sausages, sausages, bacon, etc. _ _ Iron in the meat can build up in the body and damage the cells of the pancreas, high levels of salt increase blood pressure and cause insulin resistance.

Red meat also contains substances necessary for the body :

  • protein
  • iron
  • Vitamin B12

It is recommended that healthy people eat no more than one serving (50-80 grams ) of red meat per day. But the portion can be increased by eating without red meat for a few days, for example, once a week, pampering yourself with a large piece of steak.
