How to make Degradation of damask nail art

If you like damask textures like me, then this nail art is for you. I decided to use Pupae's new gel-effect enamel to create cool-toned aging damask nail art that can be paired with a warm, soft solid sweater.

The Pupa Lasting Color Gel Nail Polish collection is enriched with 16 new brilliant colors that expand the range of colors in the line. This type of glaze has much brighter properties than traditional glazes. The color is very glossy and full, and the special texture gives the nails a three-dimensional effect.

In particular, the colors I show are perfect for fall and winter and satisfy those who like pastel colors and dark colors. Who said pastels are banned in the cold season? The trick is to choose a cool shade that matches the pale color of our skin that is characteristic of winter.

  • Products used to create nail art
  • Pupae lasting color gel nail polish;
  •  Kiko n 403 enamel brush;
  • Sponge.
  • Difficulties and timing
  • Time: 1 hour 30 minutes.
  • Difficulty: High.

Why is this nail art complicated? Decorating nails with enamel rather than acrylic requires special care and is recommended for those who use brushes well. The acrylic color is definitely easier to care for, glides on your nails better, doesn't add thickness, and allows you to correct inaccuracies before drying

Using glaze means that the margin of error is very small since making a mistake makes it difficult to correct or cover the lines. So be careful and take your time to decorate. I recommend putting the varnish on the brush and placing the brush gently on the nail surface without applying pressure while realizing the design. Otherwise, the lines will be too thick and the brush control will not be easy.

METHOD

Let's see together how to make Damask Nail Art with our step-by-step tutorial.

First Step: Apply Bright Lilac Vintage Lilac n to your thumb, middle and little fingers. 107 and dark lilac artichoke flowers n.106 on the other two fingers.

 Second Step: Create a base shade with a sponge. Spread the two previously used lilacs horizontally on a sponge. 107 and 106. Discard the excess product on a white sheet and gently pat on your nails repeatedly to achieve a very delicate, gradual shade.

Third step: Now comes the difficult part of the nail art. The color to use first is a darker color. I chose the intense blue Carbon Blue n.112.The design to be created must be separated by horizontal bands of equal height to get a good final shade. I recommend using a darker color near the cuticle and fading towards the tip to lighten it up. This creates an optical effect that can streamline your hands and make your nail art more harmonious.

Fourth Step: Start with the darkest color, then repeat the previous step with the other colors, remembering to mix with the lighter colors. For the second horizontal band, I used 111's peacock blue peacock feathers.

Fifth Step:

  • Apply the following colors in this order. Dark green chrysalis emerald green n.110.
  • Then proceed to celadon green apple n.109.
  • Now it's 108, Ice Powder Blue's turn for Ice Crystal.
  • Our nail art is almost done. Now you can proceed in two ways or create a glossy top coat. Alternatively, if you don't want to lose the 3D effect of the decoration, you can leave the nail art as it is. As it is enamel, there is no need to seal the nail art.
  • I decided to go through the topcoat to get damask nail art with a two-dimensional effect.
  • Our Damask Degrade Nail Art is ready. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below. We look forward to your impressions.
